Are We Alone in the Milky Way Galaxy?

In this week’s lesson we discussed the possibility of finding life outside of our world, how scientists classify life, the probability of finding intelligent life in our galaxy, where we could look for life in our solar system, what type of life we would look for, and the types of experiments we have performed previously.

Our mission was to test several hypothetical soil samples from celestial bodies in our solar system for biological activity.  We found the samples from Mars, Europa, and Titan tested positive for signs of life while Venus and the Moon (Luna) did not react.

Are we alone in the Milky Way Galaxy?  Maybe.
