Bean Seeds In Light and Dark. How Did Our “Garden” Grow?

Today we looked at our data for the experiment we started last session to answer the question: “Under what conditions will a bean seed grow the best?” We had results for the seeds that were germinated in light or dark conditions. We analyzed, discussed and graphed our results. The class learned what elements go into an informative graph (key, axis labels, title) and how to place data points for bean plant length vs number of days for both light and dark conditions! We then discussed how to write our conclusions based on what the data showed. We learned that bean seeds will germinate in light or dark, but the one in the dark is pale in color!
