Oh Deer!

Today, we learned about population cycles through a game of “Oh, Deer”… but since we learned about Yellowstone last time, we were Elk!

In the first round, students were either Elk or a resource – food, water, or shelter. We saw that the population depended on how much of the resource was available. In the second round we added a predator – a grey wolf! Now the population also depended on how many wolves there were eating the elk!
