Today we focused on preparing the poster and presentation for the science fair. The 6 categories used for judging were reviewed. Students were then given the chance to use a scoring rubric to judge a mock science fair experiment presented by our scientist! This exercise allowed students to better understand how their projects would be judged during the actual science fair, as well as to identify any gaps in their experiment.
Students left class today with a copy of the judging rubric so that they could prepare their posters and their presentations in a way that will really wow the judges!
