Programming with Mirobot
Today students programmed a Mirobot to draw geometrical figures. We learned that computer programming is basically to give a computer a series of commands or instructions to make it do what you want them to do. These instructions need to be very specific and in the language that computers understand (they don’t speak english!)
Mirobot is a WiFi drawing robot and students learned how to program it to draw different geometrical figures: a square and octagon and a triangle! It is harder than you think, and they figure it out by themselves so ask them how they did it.

Programando con Mirobot
Hoy los estudiantes programaron al robot Mirobot para que dibujara figuras geométricas. Aprendimos que programar computadores es básicamente darles una serie de comandos o instrucciones para que éste haga lo que queremos que haga. Estas instrucciones deben ser muy específicas y además deben estar en el lenguaje que los computadores comprenden (los computadores no entienden ni ingles ni español).
Mirobot es un robot que se conecta a internet via WiFi y dibuja. Los estudiantes aprendieron a programarlo para que dibujara distintas figuras geométricas: un cuadrado, un octágono y un triángulo. Es más difícil de lo que tu crees, así que pregúntale a tu hija o hijo como lo hicieron.
