In today’s lesson, we explored the amazing properties of a chemical we are exposed to every day: water! We completed six different activities, each exploring a different property of water, and we investigated how water behaves and how it influences everything in our living world.
How many drops of water can fit on a penny? Why is it so strange that ice floats? How do trees and plants transport water from their roots to their tops? How can water striders walk on water? Why is the sand always hotter than the water at the beach in the summer? Students investigated the answers to these questions and more! Ask your student to explain their favorite property of water!
