For our last lesson of the year, the students were encouraged to ask the scientists anything! Each student had a pre-prepared list of questions, and the topics ranged from cosmology to biology to careers. Some of the questions the students asked included:
Why do we dream? Do aliens exist? Why did you choose to become a scientist? Is your job ever hard? What is a typical day for you? How much do you make? Did your gender affect getting your job? What makes us human? How do you change a fish’s DNA? Is time travel possible? Can marijuana cure cancer? What would happen if the sun went out? Do the mice ever bite you?
It has been a pleasure working with MIT this past year, and we wish everyone a good summer!
