Rock Cycle: The Hard Truth
Today’s science lesson was all about rocks! Students jumped right in identifying a rocks and classifying in them in their main category (sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic). By examining and identifying samples of different rock types, the students developed a greater understanding for how each rock type is formed. Students were divided into three groups, each leaning about a specific rock type (igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic). Once they learned about their specific rock type, they presented what they learned as a group in front of the class. The best group presentation got a really neat prize!

How do sedimentary rocks form?
