Mock Science Fair
Today we looked at our data for the experiment we started 4 weeks ago to answer the question: “Under what conditions will a bean seed grow the best?” We had results for the seeds that were germinated in several conditions: light or dark, water every day or every other day with different amounts of water (20 mls or 5 mls), and fertilizer or no fertilizer. We analyzed, discussed and graphed our results. The class learned what elements go into an informative graph (key, axis labels, title) and how to place data points for bean plant length vs number of days for the various conditions! We then discussed how to write our conclusions based on what the data showed.
