Expedition: Bio – A Summer Science Program for Middle School Students

Inquisitive by nature? Fascinated by living things and how they work? Then join Science from Scientists and Whitehead Institute this summer at Expedition: Bio, where curiosity meets real world science, and no question is off-limits.

Science from Scientists is excited to partner with Whitehead Institute to bring you this week-long exploration into the amazing biology that thrives in the world around us.

Through immersion in hands-on activities taking students both inside and outside the classroom, laboratory demonstrations, and discussions with scientists, rising 7th and 8th grade middle school students will learn how methods from the fields of ecology, genetics, and chemistry are being used to answer some of the most challenging questions in the life sciences today—and have an awful lot of fun doing it!

Program Schedule Each session will cover the same content, so students should only apply for one session.
Session I: Monday, July 10–*Friday, July 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m
Session II: Monday, August 7–*Friday, August 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m
